Sabrina Taylor

(Hollywood, CA)

"This young woman has an extremely powerful voice and you can hear her passion belted from it on the four songs contained on this EP. I highly recommend you keep your eye on this girl; she’s destined for big things. This is a great EP to own and I suggest you get your hands on one." GEOFF DELLINGER, Entertainment World

Sabrina Taylor is a singer/songwriter whose music is both real and emotional. Born and raised in Nova Scotia Canada, Sabrina began singing and writing songs at a very early age. Sabrina started winning singing contests and battle of the bands, which got her regular spots on popular Canadian TV programs such as "BREAKFAST TELEVISION" and "CHRISTMAS DADDYS".

"Sabrina Taylor offers country-tinged pop/rock that features sweet vocals and tight band chemistry. Her songs are well crafted, catchy and fun. Nova Scotia's loss is definitely our gain. Taylor should have a very promising future here in L.A." MUSIC CONNECTION REVIEW, Bob Leggett

"There's a great deal of wannabe musicians running around Los Angeles with a guitar and a dream. Most of them should get back on the bus and go home to Kansas, West Virginia...where ever it was they boarded that Greyhound. Sabrina Taylor is not one of them." CELEBRITY BABYLON, Bill McCoy

Kelly Aspen
Country

Across the Rocky Mountain region Kelly Aspen is well known for her angelic voice, intense songwriting and unique style. Kelly's trademark voice has an innocent yet sensual sound, dynamic range, character, and richness. Kelly's outgoing spirit and obvious passion have gained her the reputation as being “Colorado's Country Sweetheart”.

Kelly's music is a mix of mainstream country with bluegrass and rock influences. She's drawn to complex musical productions that encompass the acoustic country sounds of the banjo, mandolin and dobro; a sound that her producer, Ilya Toshinsky (former Bering Strait member) has brought to life in her 2007 album release “Chasing Butterflies”, with cuts from hit songwriters including Billy Montana, Jamie O’Neal and Kris Bergsness.

Kelly's six-piece band contains the best players Colorado has to offer. She has opened for major recording artists including Kenny Chesney, Lonestar, Phil Vassar, Def Leopard, Ty England, All American Rejects, Nashville Star’s Tamika Tyler and Chad Brock.

CR Parsons
Singer/Songwriter

South Park, CO

CR has been playing music and performing for audiences most of his life. His first time was at the ripe old age of 3. At age 11 he was working for the Hartford Stage Company in Connecticut.

He slowly settled into music, more importantly, into writing his own music. That's his true love. He loves to tell a story, paint a picture, make you feel what he feels. His upcoming CD is titled “From My Heart To Yours.” That hits it pretty much right on the head. Most everything he writes is autobiographical. He's not afraid to bare it all.

He has spent a lot of time “on the road”. He has opened up for many different artists.....Pure Prairie League, Leon Russel, Don McLean, Richie Havens, Ricochet and many other artists all over the country.

CR spent six years in Nashville where he says he really went to school for song writing. “I was so very lucky to have the opportunity to write with a couple of CMA award winning songwriters.” Eddie Kilgallon wrote “One Night At A Time”. CMA song of the year for George Strait. “The man I consider to be my brother, Larry W. Johnson, co-wrote “Don't Take The Girl for Tim McGraw, the only song to be nominated CMA song of the year two years in a row. Larry and I have written several songs together.” Some of those songs you'll find on CR's cd, “Whoz' Drivin”.

So when you get the chance, come in, sit down and listen. This man has a way with a song that is rare.

Hypernova
Rock/Punk

(Tehran, Iran)

"At a time when the chasm between East and West is growing daily and misplaced hostility and lack of communication are thwarting any efforts at building bridges, it is reassuring to know that there is still one medium that remains uncorrupted by petty bigotry and short-sightedness, and transcends all issues of race, religion and ideology. The Islamic Republic of Iran may not seem the most likely breeding ground for young up-and-coming musicians but, thanks to a few daring pioneers, doors that were seemingly locked tight by the strict moral laws have been cracked by a new generation of home-grown talent. Out of a musical landscape dominated by more traditional Prog-rockers, Metallers and the increasingly popular electronic and hip-hop sound, an Indie band named Hypernova was born." Now Iran is not too famous for its rock music, but these guys are going to change all that. Each member brings a different vibe and sound to the band to give it an even more unique edge. And even though they’re just another obscure band in the galaxy of musicians, their following is growing at a very fast rate, thanks mostly to their legions of underground fans who have helped spread the word. In all reality, these guys are no different from the rest of the rockers around the world; their music is all about having a good time and just rocking your brains out. They’re not in this game for the money, fame or glory. And they’re definitely not trying to change the world...or are they?"  NOX Magazine

Breaking Laces
Alternative/Rock
(Brooklyn, NY)

Breaking Laces is an electro-acoustic indie rock band out of Brooklyn, NY. While they have certainly carved out a place for themselves in the annals of rock lore, the band has been most often compared to Death Cab for Cutie, Weezer, Squeeze, Radiohead, James Blunt and Martin Sexton.

At the heart of their success to date is not only an impressive catalog of original music, but an ardent desire to entertain.  Every gig they play is treated like a journey, and that is exactly what it becomes for both those on stage and in the audience.  In short, Breaking Laces will stop at nothing to ensure that everyone in the room is completely rocked.

Underneath their witty stage banter and splashes of modern technology, lies music that is humble, confident and flat out good.  It strikes people at the base of their emotions and slowly works it's way up to the brain until the audience member thinks, "Wow, I am watching something special, and I feel like I am a part of it."

At every venue, festival and college that has given this band a chance, they have delivered and exceeded expectations.  It's easy to overlook three guys with an acoustic guitar, drums, sampler and bass and think "Ho-hum, been there, seen that".  But once the show is over, it's a different story.

Lunic
Alternative/Rock

(London, United Kingdom)

Lunic is a female-fronted Alt/Rock band based in London. The band was started by songwriter/violist/pianist Kaitee Page in 2006 May. Shortly thereafter she joined forces with Liz Bonelli (violin), Dimitry Lisenko (bass), James Garnett (drums), and Laura Palmer (guitar). Lunic has played dozens of shows & festivals throughout the US & the UK and this summer will embark on their third US tour. In March, Lunic became the 17th artist to reach 50K on Sellaband.com! Not only is the band recording their debut album this year, but also their debut EP, Splinter, is due for release in May!

"Listen to Kaitee Page’s dense, classical arrangements and her angelic yet dynamic voice and it’s hard to believe it’s only been two years since she launched her all-out assault on pedestrian Pop Rock armed with her piano, violin and hitherto unknown songwriting chops. What’s not hard to believe is that she has been classically trained since the age of 8 and she’s quite the globetrotter, originally from New York and currently living in London (via LA, Nashville, etc.). She must have sucked the musical soul from these locales via osmosis, and now she channels them through her incisive and gorgeously arranged songs. Page wowed a local crowd at the Chicks Rock Fest earlier this year and this MPMF performance will mark the climax of her "Midpoint Mini-Tour," backed by an A-list group of Cincy Rock vets. You’ll Dig It If You Dig: Tori Amos, Dresden Dolls, Amy Winehouse’s "good" sister." -Citybeat (Cincinnati, OH)

"Kaitee Page’s music isn’t quite as sweet as her name suggests. Dark, edgy alternative rock, it’s dangerous and menacing throughout, shot through with bitter sarcasm and anger. It’s a blend of heavy rock, emo and folk, with Eastern European influences and a big debt to pay to Evanescence, so it almost goes without saying that it makes for interesting listening. The surprising tempo changes and sudden mood swings keep the listener on their toes, and the gorgeous string arrangements come close to usurping the lead vocals altogether. It’s definitely not something that should be dismissed without a listen." -Subcity Radio (Glasgow, Scotland)

"Kaitee Page is a classically trained violist, a singer/songwriter and poet, a self-taught pianist, violinist, & composer and she’s doing what not many others are successfully doing: making music you haven’t "heard before" that is, despite its uniqueness, commercially appealing. The music of Kaitee Page is a fusion of classical instrumentation and composition within an alt/rock structure. Her lyrics are poetic and sincere and the melodic layering, genius. Quite frankly, nobody sounds like her, yet you’ll walk away whistling her tunes. She’s in a class of her own!" -ASCAP (Los Angeles, CA)

L-Toka
Hip-Hop/Rap/Comedy

(CA)

L-Toka is a Comedic/Alternative Hip-Hop artist residing in Humboldt County, CA . In a world where 95% of the Hip-Hop artists sound the same, he took the route to stand out instead of stand with.  His comical and very humorous style has set him in a league of his own.  Instead of typical picking up chicks, I'm better than you, I'm coming for the crown, and other braggadocios gimics, he has brought back the music and enjoyment of hip-hop.  When people hear L-Toka, laughter is not a surprise reaction. With songs like, "Rain on the Parade", Stripper Song", "Road Rage", and the unreleased jam, I'll Really Feed You, at least one chuckle is guaranteed. Each day he strives to become a better artist and transcend above the norm.  He's having fun first, knowing the rest will come later.  Since 2004, he has been going strong.  He has open up for KRS-ONE, Del tha Funky Homosapien, Gift of Gab, and many others.  In 2005, he was also booked for the Van's Warped Tour, "Code of tha Cutz Stage."  Although he has to handle the admin now, he slowly wants to pass that torch and simply create art. After just releasing his second album, "Sense of Humor Not Included", which he is currently promoting, he is now working on his third album, "Higharchy" to be released Fall 08.  His album, "Sense of Humor Not Included" is currently available on CDbaby, Itunes, Napster, and online at www.ltoka.com.  His influences are Canabis, Atmosphere, and the eyes on him within it. Buckner Funken Jazz
Funk/Jazz

(Denver, CO)

Fresh out of college in the early 70’s, Buckner was gigging around Denver every night with a 10 piece band, jamming hard on Isley Brothers and Tower of Power grooves. No one was seriously injured, but Buckner did catch a round in his knee as he dove for safety.

“Buckylove” as Rod is known in Denver, survived that gig, bullets and all, and together with his brother, Ron “Bsix” Buckner, formed the 8 piece funk/jazz machine known as BUCKNER FUNKEN JAZZ. BFJ has built a solid reputation at the best Colorado venues for their well honed, supremely funky stage show. BFJ Delivers Old School Funk with such authenticity and intensity, They are known to keep the crowd funken for hours - nonstop. Their sets can blow up the party or implode with quiet intensity, seamlessly transitioning through Miles and Monk to Maceo, and back again.

Buckner Funken Jazz is a true original-recipe, old school funk band. BFJ earned its Funk pedigree by mixing funk grooves and well honed jazz into the stankiest, funkiest, grooviest stage- pounding party show in Denver.

Lion Vibes
Reggae/World

(Denver, CO)

Let Lion Vibes describe themselves, to start with:"Raggafunk:reggae/dub/dancehall/world beat influenced by the blues and funk, with a live horn section, dancehall MC and nine players on stage." That about covers it, technically. But you've got to dig a little deeper to fully understand and appreciate the vibrant, living sound that projects from this band of devoted artists. Lion Vibes' arresting sound draws on various influences, creating a delicious cornucopia of rich, eclectic sounds that work together in a creative act whose final result is solid and cohesive, rippling with aural colors and sheer musical mesmerism.

Lion Vibes' talent has already brought much-deserved acclaim and reward. The group was the winner of the Budweiser/Pinnacle Homes Rock Jam Battle of the Bands in 2006 and has opened for the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ratt, John Waitt, Anthony B, Yellowman, Joseph Hill and Culture, Israel Vibrations, Everton Blender, The Itals, The Abyssinians,  Sister Carol, Don Carlos, Eek-a-Mouse, The Meditations, Andrew Tosh and Yami Bolo. JD Feighner
Singer/Singwriter/Alternative

(CA)

Growing up in San Diego, music has always been part of JD Feighner's life.  You might even say that his exposure to music was longer than life-long.

JD has played the piano, violin, trumpet, drums and both the electric and acoustical guitar. Also, there were the extracurricular school activities performing in choirs, glee clubs, etc.  However his interest in music really peaked when he became involved in production.  As a senior Physics Major at Colorado College, he was cajoled into writing a uniquely, original composition for a fellow student's senior dance class final.  When he went into the studio for the final mastering of the piece, he was blown away.  In fact, JD was so fascinated by what was going on there, he ended up working at that studio for two years.

After that, he went on to open a studio of his own, 1620 Studios, in Colorado Springs,  with an impressive mix of mic preamps and outboard analogue compressors, a ProTools HD 7 rig using a Digidesign control24 as its mixing interface, and, for monitoring, JBL's LSR 32's and LSR 28's.  A very high quality sound is achieved at 1620 with JD doing the engineering and production himself.  The studio has been used by bands such as A Novel Form, Ten After Eight, Bodycast, Step To Every Pit, Mamzers Dream, YESSURR, Young Deuce, Elision, Habitual, etc. to record, mix, or master their various projects.

Working on those projects inspired JD's debut album as a singer/songwriter.  For his first album, JD has drawn on the various types of music that he had recorded as influence.  The resulting album is very diverse and is set for release in the late fall of 2007.

Entitled "Sundays at 1620", the album actually evolved from random Sunday afternoon sessions when a group of musicians would join JD at his studio and just jam together. Also featured on the debut album are Skye Lewis from A Novel Form, Kim Stone on bass, also Kajmir Royale from YESSURR and Christian Teele on drums.

Jiva Train
Rock/Jam

(Louisviller, CO)

Their compositional approach to music is rare in our current age of mainstream entertainment. Every song they write is intentional and thoughtfully composed. In its fundamental form, their music stems from a refreshing mixture of Rock, Latin, Funk, and Classical. They create vocal harmonies and lyrics that stick in your head, like Ween, and The Flaming Lips. They write instrumentals that bridge the enormous gap between Rock and Classical, a path once beaten by Phish. They find a pocket and groove as one funky unit, like Medeski, Martin and Wood. The instrumentation is unusual for a rock band; featuring Satyen Thaker (Guitar/Vocals), Kevin Reitz (Drums/Vocals), and Derek Turner (Keyboards/Vocals). This trio has come together for the pure love of making music, and the energy created from their music is a true testament to that. Jiva Train enjoys the spontaneity and freshness of improvisation, but songwriting/composing will always be a core value.

Satyen Thaker, the songwriter/composer and guitarist for Jiva Train, is a graduate of the University of Colorado Music School at Boulder, receiving a BA in Music. Derek Turner (Keyboards), and Kevin Reitz (Drums) both have performed in numerous bands prior to Jiva Train, and all have had extensive live experience.

B.L.A.C.K
Metal/Rock

(Salida, CO)

B.L.A.C.K. is an original metal band formed in the Heart of the Rockies, Salida, Colorado, in 2006. The name B.L.A.C.K. describes the emotion and intense sound that comes from the combination of fused influences such as Black Sabbath, Zakk Wild, Rob Zombie, and AC-DC.

B.L.A.C.K. is a high-energy metal band that will surely get you out of your seat. Since the response was so overwhelming at their debut at the “Metal in the Mountains” concert in 2007, B.L.A.C.K. decided to step up their act and self-produce their first album, (self titled) B.L.A.C.K. This album is entirely written, recorded, produced, and mixed by the band.

Their sound is a powerhouse of intelligible, hard driving, grooves that will surely drive you into a frenzy, then lead you back to a softer place with songs such as “Mama” and “Hold Me Again.” These songs touch on the good ol’ power ballads.

Be sure to tune into the phenomenal intricacies of guitarist Lance “Desl” Cliff. Lance has written the majority of the music. Lance is a gifted guitarist whose influences and background forged the band’s powerhouse sound. Lance is a Denver native who moved to Nashville in the early 90s and became the touring guitarist for Tanya Tucker, performing in front of crowds in excess of 50,000 fans. After Lance’s touring days he decided to move closer to his parents, who now reside near Salida. This move introduced Lance to Carey.

Carey “Chainsaw” Hallett, who plays bass guitar, is a lifelong musician who claims to have been raised in front of a kick drum. He began playing guitar at the age of 12. Carey has been in numerous original bands over the years. He has enjoyed creating original songs throughout his entire musical life. He has also been a recording and live-mixing engineer for over 20 years. Carey, originally from Texas, feels it was his good fortune to have been subjected, at a young age, to his father’s country-rock band (The Rusty Gordon Band), a renowned act that wrote, recorded and toured throughout Texas and beyond in the 70s.

After their fusion of talents, Lance and Carey decided to find a singer, and after several attempts they found Bob “Wire” Bassinger, who has proven he has what it takes to be the band’s front man. Bob is one of those singers who, when his eyes roll back in his head, is capable of anything. Bob’s lyrical compositions, style, and charisma were the ingredients that launched the band into a whole new arena of possibilities.

The newly formed band then needed the final piece to the puzzle: a drummer that could hold up and contribute the huge responsibility of creating and arranging the hard driving power grooves needed to complete the band’s sound.  Dan “Bull” Shuford was exactly that. Dan’s background, influences, and hard-hitting powerhouse style would prove to be the driving force of this dynamic foursome. Dan has been touring Colorado for years, with one band in particular - “Dogman” - a favorite in the Denver club scene for many years. Together, the band B.L.A.C.K. will hit you hard and leave you wanting more. You will not want to miss their debut album, available in the summer of 2008.

Since the release of their debut CD, “Crescendo”, the Nocturnal Tomatoes have been performing non-stop to audiences throughout the Western United States including the Colorado Springs World Arena for a crowd of almost 10,000, as well as a recent headlining performance at the prestigious four-day Southpark Music Tour in Fairplay, Colorado. The nine original tracks of “Crescendo” showcase the array of talent that this band exudes from the awe inspiring lyrics and melodies of “You” and “Crescendo”, to the powerful rock of “Nothing New” and “Gone Fishing”. Despite the success of their debut CD, the band is not taking any time to relax. They have already written enough new material for their highly anticipated new effort that they plan to start recording following their current “Crescendo” tour. The studio recordings of the Nocturnal Tomatoes only give a glimpse into what this band has to offer. Their live performances can only be described as a mind blowing display of musical mastery. Alice Cooper was quoted on his nationally syndicated radio show…”These guys are the next IT…they are the best bar band in America period.” In addition, Andrew Feigenbaum from Atlantic states, “I love the sound, I can’t say anything but good about it.” New tour dates are being added on a regular basis, so be sure to visit www.nocturnaltomatoes.com often to check when and where you can see this incredible band in action. They will soon be off on their west coast swing which includes dates in California, Oregon, and Washington. Motorhome
Americana/Rock

(Fort Collins, CO)

Since 2004 Motorhome has been playing up and down the Front Range of Colorado and is proud to call Fort Collins its home. In their short existence, they have opened up for great names like Cross Canadian Ragweed, The Legendary Shack Shakers, Junior Brown and Jerry Joseph. Having been called everything from alt-country to Americana, rock-and-roll to irreverent bluegrass, the band insists on writing music that is true to them and letting the fans decide what to call it.
With the release of their first self-produced/self-recorded album, Motorhome has yet to break their stride. With a live recording and a second album in the works, Motorhome's sails are at full and the wind is blowing in their direction.

"Motorhome shows have a reputation of boozin' and boogie, mixing acoustic-flavored, mandolin-picking, groovers with loud, blues progression rockers, powered by the vocal harmonies and between song jokes of Thornton and Mahern." oshua Zaffos - Rocky Mountain Chronicle - Fort Collins, Colorado

"Motorhome walks a line between good ol' Americana, rock and country"  Aaron Davis - Planet Jackson Hole Weekly - Jackson Hole, Wyoming

"Motorhome's hardcore Americana sound is like comfort music that doesn't want to be." Live Wire - Fort Collins Weekly - Fort Collins, Colorado

Cody Crump
Alternative/Singer/Songwriter

(Denver, CO)

Growing up in the small southwestern town of Montrose, Colorado, Cody Crump began to focus on music at a young age. With the support and guidance of his parents he began to play in numerous local acts, one of them including the well known Edison Gale. As a member of Edison Gale, Cody played many live shows in various locations in Colorado, as well as a two week tour in Austin, Texas. After the short, but successful career of Edison Gale came to an end Cody once again turned his full attention to his solo act. It was then that he began to record his debut album. At first listen it is evident that Cody Crump is a very well developed musician, especially considering the fact that he is only nineteen years old. His blending of infectious melodies with broodingly dark electronica elements invokes sounds made familiar by acts such as Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails, yet creates a fresh new sound that will have you listening to his album over and over. If that is not enough, Cody is also known to have one of the most original and entertaining live acts to surface in years. Mainly known for his energetic and theatrical performances, Cody Crump is an act that you should be sure not to miss.
